About

What is Retifist?

Retifist is an education project for latex garment craft. The public site and videos teach the work in SFW, school-appropriate language — patterns, glue practice, fit, fasteners, and the safety habits that belong next to solvents and open blades.

The learning path is meant to scale with ambition:

  1. Small examples — short builds that teach one skill cleanly (a glued bow on a strap, a single seam wait you can actually watch).
  2. Small projects — desk-scale pieces you can finish without a full workshop (Start Small’s sock over a shoe you already own).
  3. More complicated projects — multi-panel fit, contrast paneling, appliqué, and optional fasteners once the basics stick.
  4. Advanced / “factory” technique — deeper notes on glue systems, cure timing, shaping seams, and solvent posture for longer sessions — the kind of method that still works when the piece is larger than a weekend sample.

Nothing here is for sale. This is not a storefront or commission desk. Lessons, patterns, technique pages, and Projects examples exist so makers can try the craft, see how techniques get used, and decide whether a bigger workspace is worth it.

About the first creator

Retifist is the maker behind this site — a hobby educator building latex garments at desk scale and documenting the process for other makers.

Public posture: patient bench mentor, SFW craft identity on this site, practical about materials and safety. Worn or adult-context viewing lives off-site and is labeled where outbound links leave the SFW hub.

Contact email will land here once the public address is wired.
