00 — Prep, materials, and safety

Start here. This lesson covers what to buy, how to print the bow pattern at 100% scale, how to set up one desk with cut and glue zones, and the Series 1 safety checklist so 01 does not begin with missing steps.

Cosplay angle in one line: a fitted sock over a platform heel lets you match character footwear without building shoes from scratch. The bow practices glue at small scale first.

Session shape

Optional 90-minute prep block (about 60 minutes of work plus setup/teardown). Target video length is roughly 18–22 minutes.

You will leave ready to

1. Inventory or order a starter materials kit for bow and sock work
2. Print and cut the bow paper templates at true scale
