NR sheet stretches like an elastomer, not like cotton. Decoration must survive large strain without cracking or peeling. Industrial stretch-ink patents use polyurethane/polyester elastomer vehicles with pigment dispersions on latex rubber substrates.

Why NR sheet is a hard print substrate
Vulcanized film must stretch to at least twice its length under stress and recover. Rigid textile inks assume the wrong substrate class until proven otherwise.
What is a stretch-ink vehicle?
A stretch-ink vehicle is the binder system that carries pigment and must flex with the rubber underneath. Textile screen inks built for cotton do not automatically survive 200%+ elongation on latex sheet. Industrial patents specify elastomer vehicles (polyurethane, polyester) matched to latex rubber substrates.

Ask vendors for elongation data on NR-like substrates — marketing photos are not a spec sheet.
QC language
ASTM D751 adhesion, D3389 abrasion, and D1876 T-peel provide method classes for coating and flexible bonds. They give vocabulary for comparing ink systems; they are not a pass/fail grade for your catsuit print.

Surface prep literacy
Glazed former finish → shiny, vibrant colors; bisque → dull flat colors. Halogenation reduces tack permanently — see Surface Finish Literacy. Print-after-chlorination on fashion sheet needs its own prep branch; do not assume raw sheet face equals print-ready face.
